| BEFORE High pressure sodium (HPS) provides uneven light distribution, with hot spots directly below the luminaire and large, dark areas on the street between luminaires. HPS also provides poor street-side cutoff—possibly creating light trespass into the houses directly behind each luminaire—as well as an unnatural orange light that contrasts with the nighttime sky. |
AFTER DuraStreet LED light engines provide a highly uniform light distribution with virtually no dark areas on the street. DuraStreet also provides excellent street-side cutoff—eliminating the possibility of unwanted light trespass—as well as a natural white light reminiscent of moonlight. |
